The Member for Penrith and Minister for Western Sydney, Stuart Ayres, recently spoke out in favour of a North-South rail line.
He adds his voice to calls from the Western Sydney Rail Alliance, which includes Penrith Council, for this missing rail link.
Mr. Ayres said a line between the North-West Metro and the South-West rail line would connect more people to more jobs and the future Western Sydney Airport.
“North-South rail can be the city-shaping game- changer that we need. It’s about creating job density in Western Sydney, rather than transporting workers to jobs in the East,” he said.
With Penrith station on their doorstep, Thornton residents will be among those to benefit most from the North-South rail link.
